Heavy rains : Holiday declared for schools in TN

With heavy to very heavy rains pounding in some

Districts of Tamil Nadu , holiday has been declared in Thiruvallur , Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram and Kallakurichi districts of the state.

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has already forecast more rains in the state till December 15th. The weather department has already forecast a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal . Light to moderate rains in most places of the state with heavy rains at isolated places is likely over Tamil Nadu till December 15th.

It is to be noted that even after the Cyclone Mandous crossed the Tamil Nadu coast several districts of Tamil Nadu have been receiving isolated and heavy rains.

Squally weather with a wind velocity of 35-45km ph gusting to 55 km ph is likely over southeast and adjoining east central Arabian Sea on Tuesday over Tamil Nadu.
