Nireeksha’s national women’s theater festival concludes

The three-day national theater festival conducted by the Nireeksha women’s theater group in association with Vyloppilli Samsriti Bhavan had come to a conclusion on Sunday.

This was the first time that a national-level women’s festival was held in Kerala. On the last day of the festival noted Gazal singer Sanitha and group enthralled the audience.  ‘Andhika’ a play by the Nireeksha women theater group, ‘ Giribala’ a solo Kannada play directed by Susheela Kelamana and a play directed by Jisha Abhinaya, ‘ Ela Elamma Sabathani’ also was performed during the last day of the three day festival.

14 women’s drama’s were enacted during the three day women’s drama festival held for the first time in Kerala organized by Nireeksha Women’s theater group.

The organisers of Nireeksha said that in future they are planning to elevate this to an international women’s drama festival.
