The much anticipated Tamil superstar Ajit Kumar’s movie ‘Thunivu’ will hit the screens across the globe on January 11th. The Pongal release is slated to be the first blockbuster movie in the Tamil industry of 2023.
The movie has Malayalam Lady superstar Manju Warrier playing a major role as a crime partner to Ajith. The duo has done some high-voltage action scenes in the movie.
The makers of the movie have not released the name of the character played by Ajit Kumar in the movie and have kept it in wraps. The movie has released a poster in which the character of Ajit is seen standing with a gun in between currency notes. The movie directed by H. Vinoth has Tamil character actor, Samudrakani playing the role of a police officer, Dayalan.
The movie’s posters seem to depict that Ajit Kumar playing the protagonist role is likely to be confronted by Samudrakani’s police officer character, Dayalan.
The Tamil character actor G.M. Sundar is playing the role of Muthazhagan which is a pivotal role in the movie. John Kokken who plays villain roles in Tamil movies is again playing the role of a baddie in the movie.
His character Krish is a businessman in the movie who has shades of grey.
Director H.Vinoth and Ajith Kumar are collaborating for the third time for the movie,’ Thunivu’. They have had successive movies in Neerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. There were rumours that the movie was based on a major bank heist that took place in the country but H. Vinoth said that the movie is an entertainer.
The music of the movie is by Ghibran and the movie is produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios. Nirav Shah wields the camera while editing is done by Vijay Velukutty and Art Direction by Milan.
