Congress MLA from Erode (East ) Assembly constituency and son of former Union Minister, EVKS Elangovan, E. Thirumahan Evera (46) passed away due to a massive heart attack.
The sitting legislator died at a private hospital in Erode on Wednesday afternoon.
He has contested as the Indian National Congress candidate from the Erode East assembly seat in the 2021 assembly election and won the seat.
The young leader complained of chest pain and was unwell and when the pain intensified, he was admitted to hospital. Thirumahan Evera passed away at the private hospital on Wednesday afternoon.
His father EVKS Elangovan was a former Union Minister and a former TNCC president. Elangovan is the grandson of Periyar EVS Ramaswamy’s brother Krishnaswamy.
