20 passengers injured after TN Transport bus overturn

20 passengers who were in a Tamil Nadu state transport bus were injured after the speeding bus overturned into a canal. The incident occurred at  Komangalam near Vriddachalam in the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu.

20 passengers who were in a Tamil Nadu state transport bus were injured after the speeding bus overturned into a canal. The incident occurred at  Komangalam near Vriddachalam in the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu.

The injured are admitted to Vriddachalam General hospital. The condition of a few people is slated to be serious.

According to Vriddachalam police, the bus driver Saravanan lost control after he tried to swerve the vehicle from hitting a minivan that was coming in the opposite direction. The driver could not control the bus and it overturned into a canal.

The Tamil Nadu transport minister, S.S. Sivakumar who passed through a nearby area reached the spot and made arrangements for the ambulances, and spoke to the doctors at the Vriddachalam general hospital.

The bus was proceeding to Vriddachalam from Seppakkulam village and the accident occurred near Komangalam. There were a total of 40 people on the bus.
