Five persons including a three month old infant were killed a in a road accident at Kaveripattanam in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu on Thursday.

Five persons including a three month old infant were killed a in a road accident at Kaveripattanam in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu on Thursday. Seven people are grievously injured in the accident and some of the injured are to Krishnagiri govt medical college hospital while others are in Kaveripattanam PHC.
Police identified the deceased as Muthu, Mallu, Munuswami , Vasanthi and the three month old infant.
The accident occurred when the tractor containing 12 people including the infant child were travelling from Savalur village to Devakota village in Andhra Pradesh for farm work when a Bengaluru bound tourist omni bus from Sivakasi hit the tractor.
Kaveripattanam police have registered a case.
