Sujith Kumar while speaking to reporters said ,” Such incidents did not happen in Tiruchy or elsewhere in Tamil Nadu. Senior police officers have interacted with migrant workers and no one has complained of any threat to them.”

The Tiruchy Superintendent of Police however said that north Indian migrant workers have left for their home states as March 8th was celebrated as Holy in North India and they have left for participating in the festival and not because of any threat.
