The Tamil Nadu Economic Offenses Wing (EOW)that probing the Rs 2438 crore Aarudhra gold trading has got certain inputs leading to the involvement of film director turned producer, R.K. Suresh in it.
The police it may be noted have already arrested, actor Russo who has allegedly divulged to the police team on the involvement of actor, producer R.K. Suresh in the scam.
After Russo confessed on the involvement of R.K. Suresh during investigation and the special team on analysis of the CCTV camera found the actor, producer reaching the Arudhra corporate office in Chennai. Sources in the police told IANS that the probe regarding R.K. Suresh is on.
It may be recalled that Aarudhra gold trading pvt ltd has cheated public to the tune of Rs 2438 crores. There are several cases against Arudhra for collecting funds from more than 1 lakh investors in the period between September 2020 to May 2022.
Many ordinary people including those from the lowest strata of society had deposited their whole savings in the Aarudhra company. The fly-by-night operator walked out of the commitment thus leaving lakhs of these investors in the lurch. Criminal cases were filed across Tamil Nadu against the owners of the company. Three directors of the now-defunct company are in judicial custody.
