Madras High Court Acting Chief Justice, Justice T. Raja administered the oath of office to four new judges.
The four were elevated to the post of additional judges of the Madras High Court for a period of two years on May 23, 2023.
The four who were sworn in as Madras High Court Judges are R. Sakthivel, P. Dhanabal, C. Kumarappan and K. Rajashekhar.
Of the four judges who were sworn in on May 23, Tuesday, Justice Sakthivel, Justice P. Dhanabal and Justice C. Kumarappan had served as the Registrars General of the Madras High Court while Justice K. Rajashekar had been the member secretary of the Tamil Nadu State Legal Service Authority ( TNSLSA).
Advocate General R. Shanmugasundaram welcomed the four new judges to the Madras High Court and introduced them to law officers, advocates and staff of the high court.
All the four have become judicial officers in 2011 and are now elevated to Madras High Court as judges.
State public prosecutor Hasan Mohammed Ali Jinnah, Additional Advocate General, State Government Pleader, Bar Council of India Vice Chairman, S. Prabhakar, office bearers of various bar associations and lawyers participated in the oath of administration ceremony.
