Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M.K.Stalin has announced a one day state mourning for those who died in the train accident at Odisha on Friday evening.
The Chief Minister announced all the government programmes, events and the centenary celebrations of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi who is also the father of Chief Minister Stalin.
Stalin while speaking to media persons at the state emergency centre in Ezhilagam, said that the Tamil Nadu government was closely working with the Odisha government in the rescue operations.
Chief Minister has already deputed three ministers to Odisha to join in the rescue operation. This includes his son and Sports development minister, Udayanidhi Stalin, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, the state school education minister, and S.S. Sivasankaran, state transport minister. Three IAS officers are also accompanying the ministerial delegation.
