The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) said on Tuesday in a statement that rains are likely in Tamil Nadu for the next five days. The RMC in a statement on Tuesday said, “ Due to westerly wind and heat wave, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur over a few places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.”
The statement also said that Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal may experience light to moderate rains with thunder and lightning in the next five days.
The RMC also said that on June 13 to 14 the maximum temperature may be 38 to 40 degree Celsius in the next few days in Tamil Nadu. The weather department also predicted that in a few places there will be an increase of 2 to 4 degree Celsius above normal.
The forecast also mentioned that the maximum temperature in Chennai and suburbs could be 40 degree Celsius.
