AIADMK expelled leader and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, O. Panneerselvam (OPS) has called upon the Chief Minister MK Stalin to immediately fill up the vacancies in Tamil Nadu transport corporation.
In a statement on Tuesday, he said that there were 25000 vacancies in the state transport corporation and wanted the Tamil Nadu government to fill up these vacancies permanently in a transparent manner.
He cited certain reports in the media that the Tamil Nadu government was recruiting retired drivers and conductors at a consolidated pay and charged that this was against the youths of Tamil Nadu.
The former Chief Minister said that not filling up vacancies in state transport corporation with youths were affecting the morale of these youths and called upon the government to immediately do the needful.
He charged that there were reports on the DMK government filling up vacancies in various government departments with retired people or on contract basis and said that this was preventing several thousands of unemployed youths from getting government jobs on a permanent basis.
