Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan will share screen space with Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, Bahubali fame Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in director, Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi film, ‘Project K’.
Hailed as one of the biggest films to be watched out for, its produced by the pioneers in the industry, Vyjayanathi movies.
Kamal Haasan in an official statement on Sunday said, “Fifty years back when I was a dance assistant and an assistant director, the name Ashawni Dutt loomed large in the production sector. We are now coming together for this movie.”
He said that the director and his co-stars Prabhas, Deepika were from the new generation and added that he had earlier acted with iconic actor Amitabh Bachchan. Kamal Haasan said that Amitabh Bachan was an actor who invents for the roles and added that acting with Amitabh was a learning process.
He said, “I am eagerly waiting for Project K. Whatever position the audience places me at, my primary quality is that I am a film buff. That quality will keep applauding any new attempt in my industry. Let mine be the first applause for Project K. With our director Nag Ashwin’s vision I am sure that applause will echo across our country and the world of cinema.”
Producer of the movie Ashwani Dutt in a statement said, “ It was always a dream for me to work with Kamal Haasan for the longest time of my career. With Project K that dream has come true. It is a great moment for any producer to work with two legendary actors, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan.”
Director of the movie Ashwin Nag while speaking to media persons said, “For an actor like Kamal Sir, who has done so many iconic roles, it’s a huge honour to attempt to do something new. We are all super excited and privileged that he agreed to come onboard and complete our world”.
