Pan Indian actor, Nikhil Siddhartha is thrilled about his upcoming movie ,’Spy’ in which he plays the role of a Spy. The ‘Karthikeya 2’ actor told BPNS that he had done a lot of preparations and research for the movie which is based on the disappearance of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
‘Spy’ is the directorial debut of the acclaimed Editor in Telugu film industry, Garry Bh and will hit screens across the globe on June 29. The story is by the producer of the movie K. Rajashekhar Reddy. Iswarya Menon is the female lead in the movie starring opposite Nikhil. Bahubali fame Rana Duggabatti has a cameo appearance in the film.
Nikhil told BPNS that he had little information on Netaji Subash Chandra Bose at the commencement of the discussions on the movie but he researched and studied on the great freedom fighter and was overwhelmed.
The super star of Telugu film industry said that the movie was an action thriller and that he had done several scenes in risky conditions during the shoot.
Nikhil said that he has always been in awe of Spy movies and Spy stories and added that he has all along been a Jason Bourne fan and had wanted to do a Spy thriller.
He said, “I had always wanted to don the role of a Spy who protects the country. This movie blends history and thrills together and the movie talks about the incidents during our independence as well as how it is affecting the present day life.”
The young actor said that he had faced a lot of challenges during the shoot of the movie as there were a lot of action scenes in the movie. He said, “ The action scenes are one of the major points of the movie or rather an USP of the movie. We had shifted from hot Jordana to cold and slippery Spiti valley and I was to ride a sportbike and chase someone in the slippery track.”
He said that he did all the action scenes himself and did not do any CG work as he did not want to look it as fake and made up on screen.
Nikhil Siddhartha said that Hollywood stunt director Bobby, who had expertise in doing stunts was roped in for the movie and the producers wanted all the actions to look real for the movie. He said that Bobby did a fabulous job for the movie.
Nikhil was full of praise for the Director of the movie, Garry Bh which is his directorial debut after being a successful movie editor for quite long in Telugu industry. The actor said that Garry Bh did a tremendous job.
The producer of the movie K. Rajasekhar Reddy has also written the story for the movie. He said that Rajasekhar Reddy was a seasoned writer and he had done a detailed and micro level study on the subject.
The Young Telugu actor said that his co-actor Iswaria Menon has several action scenes to her credit along with him and was all praise for his co-star.
Nikhil also said, “ I am comfortable in dubbing only in Telugu and Hindi as I know both languages well. This is the first movie of mine dubbed in Hindi that will be shown overseas and I am in that thrill also. Of course, my earlier Telugu movies have been screened across the globe earlier also as there is a huge Telugu diaspora in many parts of the world.”
