Inspector General of Police, G. Lakshman IPS has come out strongly against the Kerala Chief Ministers Office and stated that a power centre in the CMO was involving and interfering in many deals of the state including financial transactions. Lakshman who is an accused in a case related to cheating along with tainted businessman Monson Mavunkal was to appear before the Kerala Police vigilance.
He has moved the Kerala High Court against this and in his pray before the court he has said that there was powerful person in the Kerala Chief Minster’s Office who was interfering all financial deals and was instrumental in framing him in the case related to Monson Mavunkal.
The top police officer said that this invincible and powerful person was mediating in many financial deals. He also informed the court that this person was involved in framing him in the case related to the financial fraud of Monson Mavunkal.
It may be noted that IG Lakshman was suspended from service for 15 months in the case involving Monson Mavunkal and was reinstated recently.
The direct charge by a top police officer against the Kerala Chief Ministers office has baffled the left front government. it is to be noted that the home portfolio is handled by Chief Minister of Kerala himself.
