AIADMK general secretary and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu lashed out against the DMK government in the state for its failure to organize special medical camps to deal with the public health menace.
In a statement on Sunday, the former Chief Minister said that the fever is affected to those who are depending on government hospitals. He said that there was acute shortage of medicines in the government hospitals.
The former Chief Minister said that the Tamil Nadu Medical Corporation used to stock all medicines required for public when the AIADMK government was in power. Edappadi K .Palaniswami wondered whether the corporation existed anymore.
He also said that fever is rampant in Chennai as well as in cities like Madurai, Tiruvallur, and Kancheepuram and added that over 4000 people were affected by dengue fever in the state. He said that diseases like chikungunya and malaria were also rampant in the state.
The former Chief Minister called upon the state government to hold fever camps across the state against the disease.
