Mossad chief in Doha, to meet CIA chief for release of more hostages

Mossad Chief David Barnea has reached Doha, the capital of Qatar and will meet the chief of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), William Barns today. The meeting assumes significance as the two have met earlier last week to work out the release of hostages from the Hamas terror group.

The CIA chief William Barns have played a pivotal role in securing the release of the hostages at the behest of the President of United States of America and have undertaken several discussions with the Qatar mediators for the release.

It may be noted that senior officials of Qatar was hosted by the Mossad Chief David Barnea in Israel a few days before.

Sources in Israel told IANS that Barnea will be putting pressure on Hamas for the release of all the women and children who are kept as hostages. The Mossad chief will ,according to sources, speak to Qatar authorities and CIA head for the release of men and soldiers in Hamas captivity. Hamas has already released 51 Israeli citizens including women and children and 19 foreign nationals since the release of hostages commenced on last Friday, November 24th.

Israel has agreed to the release of 30 Palestinian security prisoners.

David Barnea, according to Israeli government sources has communicated that it will increase the ceasefire for a further couple of days if more hostages are released from Hamas captivity.
