The opposition AIADMK which is a flag bearer of Dravidian politics and Tamil identity along with the DMK is now in an alliance with the BJP and part of an NDA alliance. With the poll bugle sounded for the 2024 general elections and DMK marching ahead with people friendly budget and pro- people policies, the AIADMK is in an abysmal situation with the party finding it tough to catch up with a DMK that is powered by the personality of Stalin.
With AIADMK itself facing a political crisis as both senior leaders Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) and O. Panneerselvam (OPS) fighting against each other and OPS now stands expelled.

The Hill Palace police of Tirupunithara are in a spot where a youth who was taken into custody died after he was taken into custody by the police doing a traffic inspection.
Local people allege that police took Manoharan (47) into custody during a routine traffic check on Saturday night for drunken driving. People said that police were hiding in a sharp curve on the road at night.

Local people allege that police took Manoharan (47) into custody during a routine traffic check on Saturday night for drunken driving. People said that police were hiding in a sharp curve on the road at night.

Actor turned politician and one of the most popular actors of the Malayalam film industry, Innocent passed away in Kochi on Sunday night. He was 75. A cancer survivor two times, Innocent had contracted Covid and developed pneumonia leading to his passing away. He was admitted to a private hospital in Kochi on March 3.
His body will be taken to the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor stadium, Ernakulam at 6.30 am and will be kept there for three hours. His body will be taken to his native place Iringalakkuda and the funeral will be held in the evening.
The veteran actor who had acted in around 700 movies and produced many was a comedian and a character actor. He had also won from the Chalakkudi loksabha constituency in 2014 as a CPI-M candidate and had been a very significant voice in the Indian parliament representing.

The Sub Inspector of Hill Palace Police station in Triupunthara, Ernakulam district of Kerala who has allegedly assaulted the youth who died in Police custody on Saturday night stand suspended from duty. The Sub Inspector Jimmy Jose who allegedly slapped Manoharan (51) who died later in police custody was suspended by the Ernakulam City police commissioner, Sethuraman on Sunday morning.

Kerala SC/ST Petrol pump owners to stage token hunger strike before HPCL, Mumbai on 15 May
Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 26(BPNS)
The Kerala Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe petroleum pump owners association has decided to stage a one day token hunger strike before the Hindusthan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) office on May 15, 2023.
This is in protest to the termination of petroleum dealership of SC/ST people under the Hindusthan Petroleum Corporation. President of the association, C.K. Mohini in a statement said that the HPCL did not comply with the procedure of conducting personal hearing before cancelling the dealership of SC/ST people.
He said that various judgments of the Supreme Court that state that the dealers have to be heard before terminating the dealership was never followed by the HPCL.
Mohini said that he and several others had submitted several representations to the higher officials of the HPCL to cancel the termination order but was never listened to. He said that the SC/ST dealers association have now represented to the President of India and the Hon Prime Minister of India.
The petroleum dealers association president said that many of the dealers have lost their homes, and are in huge debts.
