Thiruvananthapuram, Sept 25 (BPNS)

BJP national president, J.P. Nadda who is on a two-day visit to Kerala has said that corruption has even reached the Kerala Chief Minister’s office. The BJP leader was referring to the gold smuggling scam that had rocked the state.

He was delivering the inaugural address of the Kottayam district committee office of the BJP at Nagambadam in Kottayam on Sunday. He said that the CPI-M government in Kerala was creating a debt trap and added that debt has almost doubled in Kerala

Nadda during the speech also said that he salutes the BJP workers of Kerala who have been murdered and said that lawlessness have been rampant in the state. He said that there was no place for violence in politics.

He also said that drug menace was on a high in Kerala and called upon the people of Kerala to support the programmes and policies of the BJP for the total development of the state.

The BJP leader said that several programmes of the Prime Minister has benefited the people of the country and added that the people of the state must support the BJP for a total change.

The BJP national president arrived at Kochi to a rousing welcome with the party Kerala unit president K. Surendran, BJP state in-charge and former Union Minister, Prakash Javadedkar receiving him at the airport.

JP Nadda will be travelling to Thiruvananthapuram to attend various party programmes on Monday. It is to be noted that the state BJP is on the back foot following several allegations and is not even able to retain the lone MLA seat in the Kerala assembly in the 2021 elections. There are rumours of an imminent change in the state leadership and Nadda’s arrival has increased the possibilities of such a move.
