Tamil Super Star Kamal Haasan’s latest movie ‘Vikram’ directed by ‘Kaithi’ and ‘Master’ fame, Lokesh Kanagaraj will be having a Metaverse experience on the website. Kamal Haasan is the producer of the movie through his production company ‘Rajkamal’ movies and has tied up with Fantico, a Vistas Media Capital Company to launch the movie’s Metaverse experience on the website.
The Non-Fungible Token (NFT) project will help the fans and movie audience to experience the unique art and digital works, avatars, and posters of the movie.
The NFT, according to the producers will be launched as a limited edition.
Vikram’s NFTs were launched at the Cannes International Film festival on May 18th and Kamal Haasan has tweeted that the movie will be launched in the metaverse and will be available at Vikram.vistaverse.io.
It is to be noted that NFTs are individual tokens with valuable information stored in them and they hold a value primarily set by the market and demand. The NFTs can be bought and sold like any other physical art form and their unique data makes it verifiable and validate their ownership and the transfer of tokens between owners.
The trailer and the audio launch of the much-anticipated movie were conducted and had more than 15 million views.
The movie which has a resemblance to the Kamal Haasan starrer, Vikram of 1986 only in its name has Vijay Sethupathi and Fahad Fazil playing pivotal roles. Sethupathi, according to reports coming out is playing the role of an antagonist. The movie is interesting in that Tamil Superstar, Suriya will be making a cameo appearance in the movie.
Kamal Haasan is playing the role of a retired top cop and director Lokesh Kanagaraj who is a great fan of the ace actor did the makeup for Kamal.
