AIADMK leader and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu O. Pannerselvam on Thursday demanded that the first semester examinations for the first-year engineering students be postponed by one month. The exams were scheduled for March 21 after which they could be held on online mode.
The former Chief Minister said that classes were conducted only for 60 days in the first semester for a few students. He said that when classes commenced in November, students were forced to attend only online. OPS said that in colleges that were converted as Covid awareness centres, classes were held only for 40 days.
He urged the Chief Minister, M.K. Stalin to discuss with all stakeholders and consider the request for postponement of examinations in a compassionate manner.
