In a bizarre incident on Sunday morning, a thirty-year-old man hacked to death his parents at Thrissur in Kerala.

Police sources told BPNS that the incident occurred at 9 am on Sunday.

Kuttan (60) and Chandrika( 55) were cleaning their courtyard when their son, Aneesh hacked the duo with a sickle. Police said that Kuttan was hacked first and then Chandrika was also hacked several times.

Aneesh called the local police station and was absconding in a two-wheeler. Police said that they are in search of the culprit.

Neighbours told BPNS that the thirty-year-old was in regular fights with his parents at home and this quarrel would have escalated leading to the dastardly act.

The deceased couple has a daughter who is married and living at her husband’s place. Aneesh was staying with his parents.
