Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M.K. Stalin is embarking on a four-day visit to the United Arab Emirates from Thursday after the conclusion of the budget session of the state legislative assembly.
This is the first international trip of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister after he assumed office in May 2021.
The Chief Minister will visit the India pavilion at the Dubai Expo and will conduct high-profile meetings with several Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of many foreign and Indian companies and will push the case of the state as an investment destination.
Sources in the Tamil Nadu industries department told BPNS that the Chief Minister will highlight the improved law and order situation in the state as well as the political stability citing back-to-back electoral victories for his party since the 2019 general elections.
The Chief Minister’s office said that after a few high-profile meetings in Dubai, Stalin will reach Abu Dabhi where he will meet the rulers of the UAE, and will also present the case of Tamil Nadu as an investment destination as well as a tourist destination.
Stalin, it is learned will have meetings with almost all the top business leaders of the UAE and will also showcase these high profile meetings across the middle east while this time he will be traveling only in the UAE.
After the visit of the Chief Minister which concludes on Sunday, the business discussions he had undertaken would be followed by his team of officials. Sources in the Tamil Nadu industries department told IANS that the Chief Minister will monitor the developments after his visit and will push aggressively for more investments to the state and transform it into one of the most sought-after investment destinations of South India.
The Chief Minister, during his visit, will also meet the Tamil diaspora in UAE and will share the state government’s new schemes and projects undertaken for the welfare of the people.
