Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M.K. Stalin thanked the Union External affairs minister, S. Jaishanker for evacuating all Indian students including those from Tamil Nadu from war-torn Ukraine.
Chief Minister spoke to the Union minister over the telephone after receiving the last batch of students at the Chennai international airport on Saturday. He presented bouquets to the students and interacted with them for a few minutes at the airport.
Students thanked the Chief Minister and the Government of India for bringing them safely to India and also mentioned the Tamil Nadu government officials who were constantly interacting with them while in Ukraine.
In a statement on Saturday, the Chief Minister’s Office said that Stalin had spoken to the Union minister and thanked the minister and the Government of India for the efforts taken to evacuate stranded Indian students from Ukraine which is a war-hit nation.
