Royapuram police in Chennai are on the lookout for two men Wasim Batch and his friend Dilli Babu, over the murder case of a local DMK leader, Chakrapani. The murder, according to police was committed on May 10 and his body was cut into parts and stored in a gunny bag at a home in Grace Garden Third street in Royapuram.
Police said that neighbours complained after a foul smell emanated from the house of Aslam Hussaini Batch and his wife Thasneem Bhanu.
Chakrapani was running a money lending business and used to give money to Aslam Hussaini and Thasneem Bhanu and later developed a relationship with her. Police said that on the fateful day, Chakrapani reached Thasneen Bhanu’s place and her brother Wasim Batcha reached the place unexpectedly and found both of them in a compromising position. In a fit of rage, Wasim killed Chakrapani and cut his body into pieces with the support of Dilli Babu and Thasneem Bhanu.
The head of the body is yet to be found and Thasneem Bhanu told police that the body was cut into pieces and kept in a gunny bag to be thrown into the river and that the head was already thrown off in the Cooum river in Chennai.
Police arrested Aslam and Thasneem Bhanu and are on the hunt for Wasim and Dilli Babu.
