Workshop on exam anxiety and stress management held at Sainik School, Kazhakootam

 An interactive workshop on stress management and exam anxiety was organized to prevent exam stress. The programme was held on 8th and 9th of Apr 2021 in Sainik School Kazhakootam for cadets of classes 10 and 12.

The objective of the workshop was to educate cadets on ways with which they can deal and relieve stress to excel in their day-to-day activities, including the upcoming board exams.

The resource person,  Kriss Venugopal, a reputed clinical hypnotherapist, while addressing the cadets guided them to have a different way of looking at anxiety causing situations.  In the interactive session, he talked about various situations that a student might face and how to deal with them by giving real life examples to help students relate and understand. 

 He also emphasised about the stress relaxation therapies which can be easily followed by the students.He dealt at length with a three-pronged strategy involving the power of spoken words, positive thoughts and submission to the system to be successful in life and to overcome any challenges.  The importance of being organized in life with a well-defined goal was stressed throughout the session.

The cadets asked  various queries on stress management and shared the issues they face ,regarding concentration and focus, and received their answered from him. This session, provided an opportunity to share and practise how to prevent, manage and relieve stress especially during examinations.  The Cadets were motivated to face the challenges in life without  tension.. The session helped the cadets in building self-awareness and positivity among themselves and to deal with exam stress and to emerge successful.
