The national president of Mahila Morcha –BJP’s women’s wing, Vanathi Srinivasan said that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(DMK) does not respect women and the recent statement of DMK leader A Raja against Chief minister Edappady K Palaniswami is an example to that attitude.
Vanathi, the NDA candidate from Coimbatore South assembly seat led a protest march of women party activists at Coimbatore city and said that the DMK leaders have always shown disrespect towards women.
DMK leader and former Union minister A Raja, had come out heavily against the Chief minister Edappady K Palaniswami. The DMK leader in a public speech has said that while DMK leader MK Stalin had come the hard way up in the party while the Chief minister had touched the foot of VK Sasikala and become what he is today.
Vanathi Srinivasan while speaking to media persons said , “The DMK has scant respect for women and this is not a first instance. Dindigul I Leoni, DMK leader had used derogatory language against women in a public speech comparing women to a barrel. This is the culture of that party.”
