Tamil Nadu BJP not for Kongunadu, Annamalai

Tamil Nadu BJP state president, K.Annamalai has said that the BJP is not for a separate Kongunadu and that the party has asked for an explanation from the leaders of Western districts of the state who had passed a resolution for the same.

Annamalai said that the BJP is a political party that does not believe in emotions and emotional politics.

The BJP leader was speaking to reporters after assuming office as the state president of the party at the state headquarters “Kamalalayam” on Friday. Annamalai who is a former IPS officer from the Karnataka cadre said that the Tamil Nadu unit of the BJP is totally opposed to the construction of the Mekedatu dam across the Cauvery river.

BJP leader said that NEET will bring up social justice for the students of Tamil Nadu and that the party would campaign in all the villages of the state to convince the people on this.

Union Minister of state, L.Murugan who was the former state president of the party, and National General SecretarytAMI of BJP C.T. Ravi who is in charge of Tamil Nadu were present among other leaders while Annamalai assumed office as state president.
