TN Congress Chief calls for resignation of Amit Shah in snooping case

Tamil Nadu state Congress committee president, K.S.Alagiri called upon the resignation of Union home minister, Amit Shah in the snooping case. He was inaugurating a protest march conducted by the state unit of the party towards Tamil Nadu Raj Bhavan at Chennai on the snooping issue.

Alagiri in his speech said that even four days after the snooping of senior political leaders including Cabinet ministers, bureaucrats, journalists, former Armed forces officials, judicial officers have to light the Prime Minister and Home Minister has maintained a deafening silence and has not denied upon the revelations.

The TNCC president said that there are three major central agencies in the country, Intelligence Bureau, Research and Analysis Wing, and Central Bureau of Investigation, and said that these three agencies were also kept in the dark on the Israeli spyware Pegasus and the modus operandi.

He said that the protest march is to demand an inquiry into the whole incident by a Supreme Court judge as to the safety and security of the country as well as the privacy of individuals has been grossly undermined.

Party MLA’s , MP’s, office bearers, and former TNCC presidents participated in the protest march.
