Tamil Nadu records 15, 379 fresh Covid cases on Tuesday. There are 62,767 active cases in the state on the day. 20 deaths were reported on Tuesday due to Covid -19.
The state capital of Chennai reported 6484 cases on Tuesday. Tamil Nadu has a Test Positivity Rate (TPR) of 10.3%.
Chennai recorded an 18.1% Test Positivity Rate (TPR) on Tuesday.
State health minister has in a meeting of health department officials said that there was no reason for the state to go for a total lockdown. The health department, according to the minister was monitoring the situation closely and would take an appropriate decision.
