Senior leader of Congress party and Member of Parliament (Loksabha) from Vatakara constituency, K. Muraleedharan has said that the CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan is pushing to make Mohammed Riyaz, Kerala PWD Minister and son in law of Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan as the Chief Minister. While speaking to media persons at Kozhikode, the senior Congress leader said that Kodiyeri to Pinarayi is like Amit Shah to Narendra Modi.
He said that CPM state secretary, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has been attacking the state Congress of lack of minority participation in its leadership to push the candidature of Mohammed Riyaz as the next Chief Minister of Kerala.
The senior Congress leader also said that Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has made this move according to the wishes of Pinarayi and to prevent dissidence in the CPM on this matter.
