Valsaravakkam police in Chennai has arrested two youths, Kannadasan and Selvakumar of Ramapuram for barging into the residence of an actor and forcing her to strip and decamping money of Rs 55000 from her as also her jewelry. The act of her stripping was also filmed on a mobile phone, the complaint said.
The stolen jewelry was retrieved by the police and duo was produced before the magistrate court and remanded in judicial custody.
According to police, a woman who had donned supporting roles in Tamil movies had complained that two men had barged into her residence and took away Rs 55000 and 24-carat gold worth 1.3 lakh rupees.
The investigating officer said that while the volume of jewelry was not correct, the rest of the complaint part was correct.
The woman, who is running a fish shop adjacent to her residence said that she received a knock at her door at 10.30 pm. When she opened the door two men who were masked entered and latched the door from inside and at knifepoint asked her to strip. One of them filmed her stripping act.
The men, according to police said that they had destroyed the mobile phone in which her video was recorded.
