Puducherry minister for education, A.Namassivayam said that schools in the Union territory will reopen on June 23 rd after summer vacations. In a statement on Monday , the office
of the minister said that government, government aided and private schools for
Classes 1 to 10 Th and Class 12 will reopen on June 23.
The minister however said that 11th standard classes will begin only after the results of Class 10 board examinations are announced.
Namassivayam said that application forms for admission to Class 11 will be distributed from
Government schools in the Union territory from June 17th onwards.
He said that examinations conducted by Tamil Nadu Education board for students of Class 12th and Class 10th concluded on May 23rd and May 30 Th respectively. In the statement the minister said that valuation of the 12 Th and 10th board examinations willl commence on June 1.
