Kamal Haasan starrer, Vikram which was released worldwide on June 3rd has collected well at the box office with 33 crores on the first day itself with 21 crores in Tamil Nadu itself.
The movie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj has been doing extremely well in Kerala with a collection of Rs 5 crore from the box office on the opening day it did reasonably well in Karnataka and in both Telangana and Andhra. While the movie bagged 3.40 crores from Karnataka, the movie collected 2.9 crores from Andhra and Telangana.
In the rest of India, the movie collected 0.75 crores while globally also the movie points to doing well at the box offices according to trade analysts.
With the movie collecting huge on the first day, there is a possibility of a drop on the second day but Vikram has a huge volume of pre-sales for Saturday.
According to some trade analysts, the film is almost certain to touch Rs 85 crore in the weekend collection at the All India level while some analysts even give the movie a possibility of collecting Rs 90 crore in the first three days.
Interestingly the film crossed the Rs 20 crore mark on the first day itself, with Vijay, Ajith, and Rajanikanth movies having crossed the 20 crore mark on the first day in 2022.
The movie interestingly has a clash at the national level with Akshay Kumar’s Prithviraj, Adivi Shesh’s Major. Trade analyst, Ramesh Bala has predicted that the movie will touch Rs 100 crore just in Tamil Nadu itself in a few days.
The film, according to analysts predicts that the movie is doing extremely well at New Zealand, Australia, and USA box offices.
The movie is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj with Kamal Haasan donning the role of a retired RAW agent. Vijay Sethupathi and Fahad Faasil are playing major roles in the movie which also has Naren, Kalidas Jayaram, Chemban Vinod, Hareesh Peradi, Swastika Krishnan, Myna Nandhini, and Maheshwari Chanakyan playing major roles.
Tamil Superstar, Suriya is playing an extended cameo role in the movie.
The movie is produced by R. Mahendran and Raaj Kamal international movies of Kamal Haasan.
