Rafael Nadal, the king of Clay has done it again wins the 14th French open title. He defeated Casper Ruud of Norway in straight sets in the mens singles final of the French open. The score card read 6-3, 6-3,6-0.

One of the finest executioners of the game, Nadal won the final 11 games to clinch the victory. However there was some sloppy play on the part of both making 9 unforced errors during the first set.

This is the first time Nadal has faced Ruud who considered the Spanish star his role model and interestingly he is training at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca.

Nadal has already won the Australian open in 2022 and with the French open in his kitty, the veteran star is half way mark towards Grand Slam.
