A senior journalist in Kannur, Sivadasan Karippali told media on Friday that he was issued death threat by Adv. Satyanathan, Son of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s elder brother. The harrowed journalist who is running a local television channel ,’Kannur Vision’ in a live programme in Kerala’s top channel, Asianet revealed that he was issued death threat by Pinarayi Vijayan’s nephew Satyanathan.
The journalist said that he recieved a voice message in his telephone two days before after he had reported a political protest march conducted by the KSU and Youth Congress workers at Kannur in which they were sloganeering against the Chief Minister.
Satyanathan, immeidately sent a voice message, which was shown by Asianet news in which he said that the journalist would be killed if he dont refrain from backing out against Pinarayi Vijayan. Sivadasan Karippali who had worked with Matrubhumi news paper and Amrita TV said that he had not raised a complaint with the Kerala Police as he does not believe that he will get justice from the police and hence he had approached Asianet news being the number one news channel in Kerala to air this among the public.
