Swapna Prabha Suresh, the accused in the gold smuggling case and who has made a major allegation that Chief Minister of Kerala ,Pinarayi Vijayan was direclty conneccted to the gold smuggling racket has told media persons that she would be releasing an audio clip that has a mediator threatening her.
Swapna had alleged that person, Shaj Kiran, a former journalist was trying to intimidate her and asked her to withdraw the allegations that she had made against Pinarayi Vijayan, his wife Kamala Vijayan, Daughter Veena Vijayan, former minister K.T. Jaleel, Vijayan’s private secretary,C.M. Raveendran, Principal secretary, M. Shivashankar IAS and retired IAS officer and former PS to CM, Nalini Netto.
The allegations had rocked the poltiical landscape of Kerala with the Oppostiion poltiical parties inclduing Congress, BJP and other parties taking to the street against the Chief Minister and CPM.
The next day after Swapna had made the revelations, her close aide and co-accused in the gold smuggling case, Sarith was forced from the flat in Palakkad by the Kerala police, Vigilance team.
Swapna Suresh told media that Shaj Kiran who was her friend had threatened her that the Cheif Minister was furious and that if she reconciles and withdraws her statement , the government would withdraw all the pending cases and if not she would be jailed and will not the see the outside world. Meanwhile Swapna also said that Shaj had said that she will be met by a person, Nikesh Kumar who was the ear and eyes of the Kerala Chief Minister. Swapna told media that she would provide all the details at 3 pm on Friday.
Editor of Reporter TV and senior Journalist M.V. Nikesh Kumar meanwhile told media persons that Shaj Kiran as a former colleague had told him he would get an interview with Swapna Suresh. Nikesh said that more than this he has no connect with the case and that the Chief Minister does not require any eye or ear and that he was never an intermediatory to any deals or wheels and that he was an ordinary person and a journalist.
The ruling CPM is waiting with bated breath as to what Swapna Suresh will open out in her revelations and senior CPM leaders were not available for comments when BPNS tried to approach them. However the CPM state secretariat in a meeting on Friday said that Swapna was acting as a tool for the Congress and the BJP against the Chief Minister and that people of the state would reject her allegations with the disdain it deserves.
