Tamil Manila Congress president and former Union Minister, G.K. Vasan have called upon the youths to take upon the opportunity and join in the Agnipath scheme.
In a statement on Tuesday, the senior leader said that everyone should support the Agnipath scheme and that the youths should not be misled by the political protests being conducted across.
He said that the Union government had envisaged the Agnipath scheme with a futuristic vision that would pave the way for better security and a better India.
The former Union minister who is the son of illustrious Congress leader late G.K. Moopanar said that the scheme will modernize the Armed forces and will make India a strong nation with the participation of the youth.
G.K. Vasan said that youth is required for strengthening the security of the nation and that Central government has taken efforts to fulfill that requirement.
The TMC leader said that the scheme would help youths become financially independent and get them jobs in Armed forces or in the government sector or private sector.
He also said that the youths of Tamil Nadu in particular must make use of this opportunity and join the Agnipath scheme.
