T20 World Cup :Shocker for Lanka, lose to Namibia

Asia Cup Champions, Sri Lanka suffered a shocking defeat in the T-20 World cup opening match to minnows Namibia. The fancied Lankan team lost by 55 runs to Namibia.

Jan Frylink of Namibia who hammered 44 runs and took two Sri Lankan wickets was the man of the match. A partnership between Fylinck and left handed J.J. Smit who hit an unbeated 31 took the score of Namibia to 16- 7 through a seventh wicket partnership of 69 runs.

Sri Lanka was then bowled out for 108 in 19 overs. Frylinck, Bernard Sholtz, Ben Shikongo and David Wise took two wickets each to crush the Lankans.
