Senior leader of the Congress party and former Home Minister of Kerala, Ramesh Chennithala has said that the control of the police is now lost from Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Chennithala said that crimes are on the rise in Kerala and that the Chief Minister who is also in charge of the home department has failed miserably in containing crime with murders frequenting in the state.
He was referring to mounting crimes in the state and the increase in cases of jilted lovers taking revenge by killing their former girlfriends.
The former home minister also pointed out the increasing number of drug-related cases and the police in the dark over several sensitive cases.
The senior Congress leader said that the Chief Minister seems to be not getting a grip on the activities of the police force.
