Tharoor demands probe into YC backing out from his seminar

Senior Congress leader and Member of Parliament from Thiruvananthapuram, Dr. Shashi Tharoor has called for a probe by the party leadership on the Youth Congress Kozhikode district committee backing off from his seminar against Sangh Parivar at Kozhikode on Sunday.

The Congress leader’s demand was supported by  Member of Parliament from Kozhikode, M.K. Raghavan who said that he would send a complaint to Sonia Gandhi and  Rahul Gandhi on the matter.

Tharoor said that being the Kozhikode Member of Parliament, M.K. Raghavan has the right to intervene in the issue and to demand a report from the Congress leadership as to why the Youth Congress district committee had backed off from his seminar.

Raghavan said that the state Congress must project Tharoor for its comeback in state politics. He called upon the state Congress president, K. Sudhakaran to constitute an inquiry commission into the incident of the Youth Congress Kozhikode district committee backing off from the seminar.

Meanwhile senior Congress leader, K. Muraleedharan who is a Member of Parliament from Vadakara constituency in Kozhikode district told media persons that no one can exclude Shashi Tharoor from Kerala politics.

Shashi Tharoor has commenced a tour of Northern Kerala speaking in different seminars against the Sangh Parivar politics and is trying to establish a space for himself in the educated middle class as well as the Muslim community with the support of the Indian Union Muslim League. The Kozhikode MP, M.K. Raghavan is fecilitating his travels in North Kerala.
