- July 18, 2022

Chennai, July 18 (BPNS)

The Father of the Plus Two student who committed suicide in a private residential school at Kallakurichi moved the Madras High Court on Sunday seeking a re-postmortem. He alleged that there were injuries in the body of the girl and said that he suspect her to have entered into a physical confrontation with someone.

The petitioner said that immediately after coming to know of the incident on July 13, the girl’s mother had reached the school and found blood stains on the wall of the hostel verandah, 10 feet from where the girl’s body was found.

The petitioner said that the school authorities were trying to hush up the matter of a cognizable case and added that he was not even allowed to see his daughter’s hostel room. The girl’s father also alleged that he was not allowed to interact with his daughter’s roommates as well and that this indicated some ulterior motives on the part of the school management.

The Madras High Court will hear the case today.

Kallakurichi is tense after protestors pelted stones and bottles against the police demanding justice for the Class XII girl who had committed suicide.
