Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M.K. Stalin has changed his Twitter profile picture with the new one depicting his late father and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M. Karunanidhi, and the Indian national flag in the background.
Stalin in a tweet after effecting changes in his profile picture said,” Muthamil arignar (Tamil scholar), Kalaignar ensured the right of State Chief Minister’s hoisting the national flag on August 15, 1974”.
It may be noted that it was M. Karunanidhi as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu who had ensured that the state chief minister’s also hoisted the national flag during the independence day celebrations.
The picture that Stalin posted shows, Karunanidhi descending the steps of Fort St George from where the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s hoists the national flag.
It is to be noted that Stalin changed his profile pic several days after the Prime Minister has put a national flag as his social media profile picture and had asked fellow countrymen to put the same on their social media profiles to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Indian independence.
