Rahul rounds up campaign stressing on NYAY scheme

Congress leader and former president of AICC ,Rahul Gandhi has rounded up the high profile election campaign at Nemom assembly constituency in Thiruvananthapuram by stressing on the NYAY scheme.

Nyuntam Aay Yojana(NYAY) is a pet project of the Congress leader and promised Rs 6000 to every poor person of the state if  Congress is voted to power.

He was addressing a mammoth gathering of Congress workers at Nemom constituency in Thiruvananthapuram which is the only seat won by the BJP in Kerala.

Senior Congress leader and Member of Parliament from Vadakara loksabha constituency ,K Muraleedharan is contesting from Nemom providing a tough three cornered fight in the constituency.

Rahul while speaking at the programme said ,” K Muraleedharan is an idea of Kerala. He represents the state in all its equality and communal harmony and please vote for him and make him victorious.”

He also said that at Nemom, BJP will be at the third spot and added, “ When I went through the list of Congress candidates, I have decided that I will definitely attend the election campaign of K Muraleedharan”.

Gandhi lashed out against the Chief minister of Kerala and said that the CPM is colluding with BJP and that the central agencies investigating the gold smuggling case is supporting Kerala Chief minister. He also said that the Enforcement Directorate is silent in Kerala and this indicates a subtle understanding between the two.

The senior Congress leader said that there is a clear wave in favour of the United Democratic Front(UDF) and said that the media reports regarding a repeat of LDF is not correct.

Coming out strongly against the Prime minister Narendra Modi, Rahul said, “Prime minister’s arrogance will not be tolerated by the people of the country and the people of Kerala must give a fitting reply to BJP in the state.”

Rahul Gandhi arrived at Thiruvannathapuram from Kozhikode and Wayanad by a helicopter. The Congress leader went to Mahavishnu temple in Tirunelli, Wayanad and prayed for a few minutes along with the AICC General secretary, Organisation, KC Venugopal.
