The Nungambakkam All Woman Police arrested a 28-year-old person, Gautham for sexually assaulting a woman in a moving car.  Police said that search is on for two of his colleagues who also had assaulted the woman in the car.

The incident occurred in the wee hours of Wednesday in Chennai city when a police patrol team found a woman screaming for help from a passing car. The police team immediately conducted a chase and intercepted the moving vehicle.

A young woman who identified herself as an entrepreneur told the police that the three people who were in the car are known to her and all the four were returning back to drop her at her residence at Arumbakkam in Chennai after attending a party at a five-star hotel at Nungambakkam.

She told the police that the three sexually assaulted her in the car and she screamed for help. Gautham (28) was taken into custody and handed over to the Nungambakkam All Women police who recorded his arrest. The other two meanwhile fled from the scene and police said that search is on to nab them.
