Dr. Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hyderabad for the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, India, has been honoured with the United States Congressional Medallion and the United States Congressional Proclamation, among the highest recognitions bestowed by the U.S. Congress.
The honours were presented at an official ceremony held at Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C.
The awards were conferred by U.S. Congressman Jonathan L. Jackson, Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Illinois’ 1st Congressional District, who also serves on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the House Committee on Agriculture.
The Congressional Medallion recognises exceptional leadership and outstanding contributions to society, diplomacy, and global development.
The Congressional Proclamation, a rare and distinguished honour, is awarded to individuals whose work has national or international significance.
The Proclamation recognising Dr. Khan will be formally entered into the United States Congressional Record, ensuring his achievements are permanently preserved in the official archives of the U.S. Congress.
Congratulating Dr. Khan, Congressman Jonathan L. The Congressional honours coincide with Dr. Khan’s selection for the Global Diplomat Award 2025, to be presented under the auspices of Global Eye Magazine USA, further underscoring his influential role in advancing diplomacy, international collaboration, and cross-border partnerships.
