Kazakhstan Honorary Consul holds talks with U.S. Ambassador on Central Asia Real Estate Investments

Dr. Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hyderabad for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and Promoter and Managing Director of MAK Projects Pvt. Ltd., met Sergio Gor, Ambassador of the United States to India and Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, during celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of American Independence in Hyderabad.

The meeting focused on investment and development opportunities in Central Asia, particularly in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Discussions explored the possibility of developing luxury golf communities, branded residences and mixed-use lifestyle destinations aimed at attracting international investors and boosting tourism in the region.

According to information shared after the meeting, the discussions included potential collaborations with globally recognised brands such as Trump International Golf Club, Trump Tower and luxury brand Jacob & Co. The proposed projects are envisioned as large-scale developments that could enhance the international profile of key destinations across Central Asia.

Drawing on the experience of MAK Projects in developing premium residential communities in India, Dr. Khan outlined his vision for creating world-class real estate and hospitality projects that would contribute to economic growth and infrastructure development in the region. He emphasised the importance of attracting foreign investment and building globally competitive destinations that can generate employment and support tourism-driven growth.

The interaction also examined opportunities for broader strategic cooperation and commercial partnerships that could strengthen economic ties between investors and emerging markets in Central Asia.

Dr. Khan said the discussions were productive and reflected growing interest in the region’s development potential. He also confirmed that he would meet Ambassador Gor again in New Delhi to continue discussions on the proposed projects and explore avenues for future collaboration.

The meeting comes amid increasing international attention on Central Asia as a destination for investment, tourism and infrastructure development, with several countries in the region seeking to attract global capital through large-scale urban and hospitality projects.
