The Kottarakkara Taluk Union of the Nair Service Society (NSS) has strongly criticised K.B. Ganesh Kumar for allegedly insulting the organisation and its general secretary, G. Sukumaran Nair, and demanded his immediate resignation from the NSS karayogam.
A resolution condemning Ganesh Kumar was presented by union member G. Thankappan Pillai. It accused him of disregarding the support extended by the NSS to the family of his father, the late R. Balakrishna Pillai.
The resolution claimed that Sukumaran Nair’s intervention had provided considerable relief to Balakrishna Pillai when he was imprisoned in connection with a corruption case. It also alleged that the NSS general secretary played a crucial role in securing a ministerial berth for Ganesh Kumar despite reservations reportedly expressed by his father.
The union accused Ganesh Kumar of acting without cultural or moral values. It further alleged that, while serving as a member of the NSS director board for three years, he followed the practices of another faith in violation of Sanatana Dharma and Hindu traditions.
According to the resolution, such actions had contributed to Ganesh Kumar’s defeat in Pathanapuram and his subsequent removal from the organisation’s high-powered committee. It also accused him of misrepresenting the circumstances under which the NSS headquarters took over the administration of the Pathanapuram Taluk Union.
The resolution maintained that anyone who publicly insulted the community and its leadership had no moral right to continue as a member of an NSS karayogam.
The Kottarakkara Taluk Union said all 150 karayogams under its jurisdiction remained firmly behind the NSS leadership and Sukumaran Nair. It asserted that attempts by Ganesh Kumar or others to weaken the organisation would not succeed and strongly condemned any move aimed at undermining its unity or authority.
