Dr Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan, Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Hyderabad for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, attended the Commonwealth Medical Association’s Global Summit on Longevity and Healthy Ageing in London as a special guest and speaker, according to a press release.

Held at Marlborough House, the headquarters of the Commonwealth Secretariat, the summit brought together medical professionals, healthcare leaders and experts from Commonwealth countries and beyond to discuss healthy ageing, healthcare innovation and human wellbeing.

Addressing the gathering, Khan said international dialogue and cooperation were essential to tackling global health challenges. He stressed the importance of sharing knowledge and experience to advance longevity, improve wellbeing and enhance quality of life.

He expressed appreciation for the invitation, describing his participation in the international forum as an honour and a privilege.

Established in 1962, the Commonwealth Medical Association works to strengthen cooperation among medical professionals across the Commonwealth. Its activities include supporting national medical associations, encouraging professional development and promoting healthcare standards and medical ethics.

The Commonwealth Secretariat supports cooperation among member countries in areas including health, education, development, trade, governance and sustainable development.

The release also highlighted Khan’s involvement in promoting healthier living through his private sector activities. As promoter and managing director of MAK Projects, he advocates a “Clean, Green, Healthy Living” approach.

Through its BTR Greens development, the company promotes residential environments incorporating green spaces, sustainable practices and features intended to encourage healthier lifestyles.

His participation in the summit formed part of his broader engagement with international healthcare, policy and diplomatic platforms, the release said.

It added that these engagements seek to strengthen international cooperation and connections between people, including partnerships involving India and Kazakhstan.

The London gathering provided a platform for discussions on how cooperation and healthcare innovation could support longer lives and healthier ageing worldwide.
