Popular Tamil comedian ,Vivek suffered a major heart attack and is admitted to SIMS hospital here. Doctors treating Vivek said that he is critical and his vital organs are not responding.
Vivek was the brand ambassador to create awareness for propagating vaccination among people and had taken a vaccine on Thursday. He had taken the vaccine at Government Omandurar Hospital and urged people to come forward to take the vaccine.
Vivek has said, “ People should not be afraid of any side effects on vaccination. Both Covishield and Covaxin are safe and will save us. Even if it does not prevent us from getting infected, it helps us to reduce the effect of the disease.”
The comedian had developed a close rapport with late President APJ Abdul Kalam and had met him when he was president of India. Kalam had advised him to promote the need for a green movement and to plant more trees. Vivek had started a movement to plant a billion trees across Tamil Nadu by creating awareness among school children and college students.
